This specimen was lot 1084 in Sedwick sale 25 (Winter Park, FL, May 2018), where it sold for $160.65. The catalog description[1] noted, "Tegucigalpa, Honduras, extremely low silver 4 reales (provisional), 1853G, NGC VF 25. Dark copper color all over, typically crude but with all details visible, including an incuse and retrograde date on mountains side due to die-clashing. NGC #4715682-006." This is another (tho not the last or worst) in a series of increasingly debased minor coinage that started in 1825.
Recorded mintage: unknown.
Specification: silver-washed copper.
Catalog reference: KM-20c.
