This specimen was lot 11428 in Ponterio sale 169 (Baltimore, November 2012), where it sold for $588. The catalog description[1] noted, "MEXICO. Revolution Chihuahua, Hidalgo del Parral. 2 Centavos, 1913. Brass. Very scarce. With Mr. Wood's hand-lettered cardboard holder. EXTREMELY FINE. Ex: Howland Wood Collection." The copper issue of this type is common; this is a scarce brass issue.

Recorded mintage: unknown but common in copper.

Specification: 6.85 g, copper (KM 607) or brass (KM 607a, shown here).
