This specimen was lot 20463 in Ponterio sale 161 (Chicago, August 2011), where it sold for $____. The catalog description[1] noted, "GUATEMALA. 8 Reales, 1759-P. The Finest NGC Certified Guatemalan Pillar Dollar of Ferdinand VI. Ferdinand VI. The only NGC certified mint state example of a Ferdinand VI pillar dollar. Well struck, fully lustrous with a hint of light adjustment marks on the obverse, population 1 of 1 for this king. NGC MS-64."
