This specimen was lot 30059 in Heritage sale 3040 (Chicago, April 2015), where it sold for $1,527.50. The catalog description[1] noted, "George V Florin 1932 MS65 PCGS, Royal mint. Micro-satin textured with a delicate overlay of attractive multihued tone and very clean surfaces. World-class for this key date with no comparable certified coins at PCGS." This type was struck 1927-36 in substantial numbers; this date is the key. It superseded a type struck 1911-26 with a different reverse (KM 817a).
Recorded mintage: 717,000 plus a few proofs.
Specification: 11.31 g, .500 fine silver, .181 troy oz ASW, 28.3 mm diameter.
