Sincona sale 18, lot 2175
This specimen was lot 2175 in Sincona sale 18 (Zurich, May 2014), where it did not sell. The catalog description[1] noted,
"Louis dor aux deux L 1722. Lille Fast vorzüglich. (kingdom of France, Louis XV, louis d'or of the two "L's" of 1722, Lille mint, choice extremely fine.)"
This type was struck 1720-23 from twenty-seven mints but is very rare. This type was superseded by the louis d'or Mirliton, palmes longues, struck 1723-25. That coin in turn was superseded by the louis d'or aux lunettes, struck 1726-40.

Recorded mintage: 51,375 estimated.

Specification: 9.79 g, .917 fine gold, 24-26 mm diameter, reeded edge, designed by Norbert Roéttiers, this specimen 9.76 g.

Catalog reference: Duplessy 1635, Fr-456, Dr/4 no. 797, Dr/2 no. 534, KM 461.1.
