Sedwick sale 11, lot 1002
The specimen shown was lot 1002 in Sedwick sale 11 (Winter Park, FL, April 2011), where it sold for $1,380. The catalog description[1] noted,
"Bogotá, Colombia, bust 1 real, Charles III, 1775JJ, very rare. Lightly toned Fine+ on a slightly oblong flan with resultantly irregular rims, holed at top but no other damage, rarer than indicated in Restrepo. Jorge Ortiz Murias collection of Colombian colonial minors."
The SCWC lists seven dates for Nuevo Reino between 1772-84, all scarce.

Recorded mintage: unknown.

Specification: 3.38 g, .903 fine silver, .098 troy oz ASW, this specimen 3.3 grams.
