From CoinFactsWiki
This specimen was lot 1359 in Sincona sale 18 (Zurich, May 2014), where it sold for CHF 1,200 (about US$1,581 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"Taler 1753. Wien. Fast vorzüglich-vorzüglich. (bishop of Breslau, thaler of 1753, Vienna mint. Choice extremely fine.)"This type is listed for 1753, 1770, 1773 and 1777; all dates are scarce. We don't know how the bishop maintained his rule after Frederick the Great conquered Silesia from Austria in the 1740's. Perhaps he exiled himself to the comforts of Vienna.
Recorded mintage: unknown.
