The Barber Half dollar or "Liberty Heads" were introduced in 1892 succeeding the Liberty Seated half dollars and preceding the Liberty Walking. The design was created by Charles E. Barber. The composition of the half dollar is .900 Silver and .100 Copper. The lowest minted Barber Half Dollar is the 1914-P at a total count of only 124,230. The highest minted Barber Half Dollar is the 1899-P at 5,538,000.
