This specimen was issued by Albania to honor the 25th anniversary of liberation from Nazi occupation. On the reverse, an Albanian partisan accepts the surrender of a defeated German soldier. No additional one lek coins appeared until 1988. Albania threw off Communist rule in 1992 but remains backward and corrupt.

Specification: 2.3 g, aluminum, 26.5 mm diameter.
